Sound Pictures – Musical Treasures from 16th-Century Basel
Once upon a time there was a city named Basel, where well-known figures such as Bonifacius Amerbach, Felix Platter or Ludwig Iselin collected, wrote and performed music. The Musikmuseum presents instruments, illustrations and scores of the Renaisscance in collaboration with the Universitätsbibliothek Basel. These treasures – many of them over 500 years old – are presented in a unique exhibition called «Sound Pictures».
